PROGRAM DESCRIPTION, SUMMARY AND OUTLINE
In this age of climbing divorce rates (now up to 50%), therapists treating this population may feel discouraged and wonder what the key is to couples counseling. A definition of love and relationships along with a history of treatment modalities and a review of current practices will show that pre-marital and post-marital counseling helps to wake up partners and create an environment of safety where they can rediscover love.
Through open discussion and communication about sex and intimacy, couples can find their inner adults and learn to participate in joyful, long-term connection. Therapists learn what has made this type of treatment so difficult, and discover ways to move beyond their own limitations to help couples experience the joys of waking up. Objectives
